Board: Arbor Whiskey

Size: 155

Camber Option: The System. A center reverse camber.

Bindings: K2 Indy

Stance: 22.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy

Boots: K2 T1DB Size 10

My Weight: 175lbs

Resort: Breckenridge

Conditions: Mid day to early afternoon spring-like conditions. This made the snow have varying consistencies.

Flex: This board is stiffer than a jib noodle but softer than a middle of the road park deck. There’s an abundance of flex in the tips and a bit more between the feet as well making for a fun playful ride.

Stability: There is no dampening of this board at all, it’s very lively and as such you will feel everything. Seriously prepare your body to take a jarring.

Ollies: If you want to pop it’s going to need to be loaded up skate style which is great for those that don’t want to work for it, for those that do well go buy something with camber. Is there an abundance of snap? Not really.

Pop On Jumps: Yes there’s a bit of pop off the lip, but not a lot. Keep it to small to mediumish features and you’ll be golden.

Butterability: This board excels at buttering due to being reverse camber, super soft, and not having a lot of natural rebound in it. This is a lazy mans butter board. Yes, you don’t have to work for it.

Jibbing: This board locks into presses with ease. The big issue is getting good pop on to urban on features, if it’s a high ollie be prepared to work for it. Sliding sideways isn’t an issue and the board doesn’t seem to have the tendency to hook up.

Carving: The edge to edge transitioning is real easy and takes next to no effort. The softer flex really lets you bend the board to your whim through a carve, just be prepared for it to wash out if you’re driving it excessively hard through the arc of a carve.

Rider in Mind: The beginner to intermediate park rider that needs a soft board.

Personal Thoughts: This board is soft and forgiving, which for some might be a good thing, but for those pushing it to the limit I would look elsewhere for a deck. Yeah you can butter and jib with ease, but if you’re progressing to the point you’re pushing it harder it might be worth upgrading to something else in the Arbor line.
