Board: Marhar Archaic

Size: 154

Camber Option: Hybrid Rocker Camber. Flat between the feet, camber underfoot, and an ever so slight rocker in the tips.

Bindings: K2 Lein AT

Stance: 21.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis

My Weight: 177lbs

Resort: Arapahoe Basin

Conditions: Overcast skies, firm to icy groomers underneath trace to 1 inch of snow, and puking snow with high winds.

Flex: A true middle of the road flex with playful tips. The torsional give on this board is abundant, which you will notice when you center flex and twist the board.

Stability: This board is highly stable in varying terrain. It was also damp but yet still lively. This made it ideal for charging through a chunder field and not worrying about getting bucked.

Ollies: Having dual camber zones helps with the pop. Loading up takes next to no effort so you can concentrate on sending it.

Pop On Jumps: This board is equally at home on a jump. Everything from small to bigger features.

Butterability: The small amount of rocker in the tips coupled with the camber profile and flex make for a fun day of buttering the muffin. The blunt shape gives a great flat spot to lock into ground presses and play around.

Jibbing: Locking into a nose or tail press is a breeze. The flex pattern and the blunt shape work exceptionally well for it. Sliding sideways on any feature whether a box or rail it locks in perfectly and executes the slide with precision.

Carving: Marhar’s Attack Arc sidecut gives you extra contact points where you need it underfoot. This allows you to really set an edge and rail a deep aggressive Euro-carve or if you’re feeling mellow just a long drawn out turn. Over all this board is at home gripping and ripping on the groomers.

Rider in Mind: The all mountain rider that wants a bit of camber and some rocker in their board. Also the guy that’s going to go from hitting the park, boosting a roller, to riding some trees and hunting for powder.

Personal Thoughts: This board is always a fun thing to ride. It takes next to no time to get used to and you can just hit anything in its path with ease. The versatile nature of this board makes it ideal for being a well rounded quiver killer.
