Board: Endeavor Clout
Size: 156
Camber Option: 3D Camber with Raised Contacts. Traditional camber with the contact points beveled on the base.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 21.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 177lbs
Resort: Arapahoe Basin
Conditions: 10 inches of fresh snow over the last 24 hour period, sunny skies with some clouds, colder temps, and no wind.
Flex: This board is just a hair past a middle of the road flex. There’s a sweet spot in the tips that has an abundance of flex, it stiffens up back through the insert area to the middle where that softens up as well. There’s a medium bit of torsional flex as well. Overall it’s an all mountain flex that feels like you’ve ridden it a hundred times making it smooth and consistent.
Stability: The variable terrain and snowpack made it great for testing out its stability. Riding through chunder, blown out wind lips, and moguls I can safely say this board sucked it all up and pressed on. Rarely did I feel any chatter happening throughout the deck and when I did it was usually in the tips and only on firm to icy groomers.
Ollies: This board has some serious snap in it. Load up the camber and prepare yourself to ollie over anything in your path. Sidehits and rollers became mini jumps to snap off of. The one thing I will say is that if you don’t load up the camber you’re not getting pop, so it is a board you need to be on top of when riding.
Pop On Jumps: This board is at home hitting jumps. It has the power and finesse you want when coming into a lip to boost off it. Just bring your A game.
Butterability: The sweet spot in the tips is great for locking into ground presses. Put your weight over them and you’re golden. An advantage of this board is the beveled contact points, they don’t catch, but aren’t so beveled you feel like you lose your control.
Jibbing: High speed jibbing is this boards friend. It locks into presses with precision but needs the keen precision of the rider to dial it all in.
Carving: Here’s where I felt this board stood out. For having elevated or beveled contact points this deck still set up and locked into turns. You didn’t lose control but had a easier entry and exit when railing hard turns.
Rider in Mind: Someone that wants camber but likes it to be a bit more catch free and will ride the whole mountain as a freestyle stunt arena.
Personal Thoughts: This board stood out to me as being one of those versatile quiver killers. It’s snappy and lively yet smooth and stable. Hitting every type of condition the mountain has to offer was great and seeing what this deck could do inside and outside of the park showed that it had no limitations.
