Conditions: A mix of clouds, sun, wind, snow, and warm temps. Depending on how the wind was blowing the conditions would change drastically. At least there was 4 plus inches of fresh snow.
Flex: With a playful flex this board comes in just around the middle of the road spectrum. You get a foundation that is stiffer than the nose and tail. What you’ll notice is that the tip is just a hair stiffer than the tail. There is an abundance of torsional flex which helps add to the fun of this board.
Stability: You’ll notice stability in deep snow due to the wider platform, when you’re in rutted out icy terrain prepare to bend those knees. This board is a bit more on the lively side than damp.
Ollies/Pop: Having a small amount of camber under foot helps you to gain pop. Then you add in the wider flat tips and you have a sweet spot that is easy to initiate and pop with.
Butterability: This board just wants to be pressed into the snow and buttered around. You might catch the corner of the tips as they’re very abrupt, but that is an occurrence that happens few and far between.
Carving: With a flex that is forgiving enough to drive into the snow you have a board that can set an edge with ease. Whether you’re laying out a long drawn out carve or a tight and technical Euro-carve.
Rider in Mind: Someone that is chasing pow and wants a board with a unique shape that will drive through the snow.
Personal Thoughts: Say your prayers because the pow reaper is coming to slash and slay. This board is highly fun and has such a unique shape that people will be asking you questions all day. It slashes with ease and can still rail a hard turn where it needs to.
